With a fiery energy and a love for their art, Hunter Valentine, smack in the middle of their "Collide and Conquer" tour, rocked the Pike Room like it was Madison Square Garden. Drawinginspirations from big, dramatic bands such as Muse and Radiohead, HunterValentine drove out of Toronto to Brooklyn, NY to start their career in 2004and have not disappointed since. Hunter Valentine are the epitome of strong, unified women with Kyomi McCloskey on guitar and as lead vocalist, LauraPetracca on drums, Veronica Sanchez on bass, and Aimee Bessada on guitar andkeyboard.

Queen Caveat opened for Hunter Valentine; an edgy,hard-hitting band that set the perfect mood for the nights headliner.
Although the Pike Room isn’t the largest venue the band hasplayed, they get just as nervous as they did the first time they ever took thestage; and with Laura playing lefty because of a fractured foot and Aimeeplaying keyboard for the first time in a while, they had every reason to benervous. However, they got on stage exuding confidence and poise and played thebest show they could for their fans, and believe me no one in the room was letdown. The crowd was amazing and giving off the best energy to the band who wasreturning it right back to us, everyone was excited to be there. During our interview we expressed to HV whatDetroit's rich music history meant to us, and on stage they let us knowthat they could feel our hometown pride. Special shout out to tour mgr Shahin for hanging withus, killing it behind the merch and being awesome! Detroitcan’t wait for Hunter Valentine to return with their intense passion for rock‘n’ roll and their powerful vitality! -B2 for MCBListen, see more info and check out Hunter Valentine online at http://www.huntervalentine.com
